What is so clear is the absurdity of the rightwing continually asking for tax cuts and spending cuts when historically taxes as a percentage of GDP are so low and government involvment cut back. The article is a reality check on where we have been and where we are now and really how ridiculous the insistent push of the right is to pursue their theoretical ideology of diminishing government at all costs continually cutting taxes and continually cutting spending unwilling to bend without any sense of balance that has always been the key to economic recovery. It's a theoretical even magical formulation that has no basis in history and as I've stated before is the result of the rightwing elevating their political ideology up to the level of religious infallibility. Incredibly one key congressman admitted that for them raising taxes is like imposing on their existential experience. I think with that the article has made it's point.Doughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14936708022015516483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13398193.post-40351331211750542422011-07-11T16:31:37.154-07:002011-07-11T16:31:37.154-07:00Vagueness seems to be in the eye of the beholder, ...Vagueness seems to be in the eye of the beholder, and what his politics is. Name a number and they will post something a trillion higher.Normahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11502895616873273470noreply@blogger.com
