It was indeed a good day for America, for the poor, for the low income, for the middle class and for all those that have otherwise suffered without care.
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts in parting with the other 3 rightwing justices wrote: "It is implausible that Congress meant the Act to operate in this manner. See National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius, 567 U. S. ___, ___ (2012) (SCALIA, KENNEDY, THOMAS, and ALITO, JJ., dissenting) (slip op., at 60) (“Without the federal subsidies . . . the exchanges would not operate as Congress intended and may not operate at all.”). Congress made the guaranteed issue and community rating requirements applicable in every State in the Nation. But those requirements only work when combined with the coverage requirement and the tax credits. So it stands to reason that Congress meant for those provisions to apply in every State as well."
That's right they only work when combined with the coverage requirement and the tax credits. Every justice knew that and every opponent of Obamacare pushing this court case knew it as well. How funny that Chief Justice Roberts used Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas and Alito's words and logic against them.
But once more its crybaby ideologues wasting our time with straining at a gnat legalities when the true intent could not have been otherwise. The absurdity is in the right trying to tell the left what they meant or intended in their own bill especially while they the left are still here to tell us. Get it? Yea, it's a laugh. It's a laugh that the case should have even got off the ground.
So now its straight on and straight ahead bringing desperately needed healthcare subsidies for the poor to every state in the nation just as it was intended.
