God wants you to draw close to Him to know and experience His Love for you. You will find these words do not convey what this really means so draw close to Him in the quiet of the night. Realize you have not been where you need to be and that this night and the next day will not be anything like what you have known before. Be sincere, be looking because He will be right there before you in the quiet as you sincerely invite Him to come close. It is your heart towards Him at this moment that makes this happen and He knows your heart. He wants to approach you and share His love with you. He wants to lift you up from where you have been, fill you with the breath of His life and put His wind under your wings. He wants to strengthen you and empower you to be all you can be but above all He wants you to come close to Him to understand and be filled with His love, to receive His love.
If you are unsaved, ask God(our Father) to forgive you of your sins. Accept Jesus Christ(the physically manifested personage of God in this world, God's Son) as God's acceptable sacrifice for your sins. Ask Jesus Christ into your life and follow Him. Read what He said because he said it so that you can know how to live for Him. He loves you beyond what you can understand. Receive the full power of God's Holy Spirit no compromise. Our Father sends His Spirit to help you and he hasn't weakened it, tweeked it or changed it since the first pouring out to aid His disciples. Only circumstances have changed. He brings you gifts and spiritual weapons to overcome this world. It is the original Holy Spirit of God once and for always. It's Him, His Spirit and He loves you and will help you all you need. Have you seen the persecution of His followers around the world? He provides all the spiritual weapons necessary because He loves you. In coming to Christ it is important to be open to all He has for you especially if you dwell outside the comfort and protection of advanced nations where you are so much more vulnerable to injustice and persecution.
