Corporate greed and the perverse incentives of the oligarchy are destroying this nation. During decades of stagnant wages corporate profits have skyrocketed. Yes, this has occurred and the wages of average Americans that buy from and work for these corporations still have stagnant wages. The wildly rich corporations have refused to share virtually any of their profits with this America they are a part of and prosper in. The gap between rich and poor logically then has grown greatly. This condition persists because corporations, the rich, the powerful have changed laws so that your congressman can be bought off by the corporations which then can demand the congressman pass laws that allow all of this lopsided injustice resulting in corporations getting filthy rich while leaving you and me with relatively stagnant wages, no comprehensive healthcare and no voice in our government. Is Hillary Clinton the antidote? Hardly as she will only be a continuation of the corporate state status quo. Donald Trump? He is a hard nosed corporate businessman that demonstrates little reason to trust in him and certainly has allegiances to the dog eat dog, only the strong survive mentality. He will take care of the people? I wonder how. Ted Cruz? He virtually fully backs all the conditions that have led to the mess we have now. Not a choice.
None of these candidates are the desperately needed antidote, the remedy to the core of what debilitates this nation. Corruption of money is at the core. Corporate thievery of our government representatives is at the core. We thusly have no real voice any longer and it has been this way for several decades and so we are where we are. The answer begins with repealing Citizens United and taking the corrupt money out of politics. A candidate for president must recognize this reality, that this is at the core of our condition. Unfortunately most do not as you see them pressed to address it and certainly then without any passion as they are sore afraid of offending their wealthy campaign donors.
There is one that does however. That candidate is Bernie Sanders and it is crystal clear. He is not the perfect candidate but the overarching truth that he puts forth is the truth we must face in regard to our nation, money, politics and economic system as it is.
We have lost our way from a nation that learned to once hold up the ideal of sharing for the good of all. Between the ravenous Babylon like narcissism of Wall Street and the dreams of all Americans there must be a middle ground where we all can aspire. Outside of Sanders we will surely sink back into the malaise and the gravity of the greed-bound heart. We must resist evil, and we must stand up for ourselves and demand the integrity and honor of life as it should be in the United States of America. If it seems this opportunity is slipping away now take heart. These things here are embedded in the heart of the people. You see it overwhelmingly in the polls.
It is the will of the American people that will break through.
