Whatever you do don't mess this video!
Listen to this medical doctor in the Youtube video above confront his Republican congressman at a recent town hall. Look for the part where the M.D. exposes Republicans for often claiming people are choosing to not have health insurance if they cannot afford it, or that it is the person's fault if they get sick.
I have personally witnessed Republicans saying this for years many times over and the Christian right as well. Tragically this is their attitude, this is where they are, essentially out in the resentful spiritual dry lands of human compassion. You would think Christians of all people, whom God has offered love, wisdom, insight and a solid foundation to stand on would perceive that lower income people that comprise 60% of the American population desperately need good healthcare because many work in environments that are particularly threatening to one's health, not to mention inherently poor health conditions for the homeless and others on the fringe.
I guess they are afraid there would be African American people among those that would get this healthcare help also. This deep seated racism goes back decades and was used by southern politicians to get elected. They fooled the poor white man into believing he was in the shape he was in because the black man was getting something he wasn't getting and so now that sentiment or pathetic belief is morphed over covertly into our politics today and the extreme irrational disdain for Obama and the drive to repeal Obamacare magnifies all of it.
By the way the Republican right-wing created an economic ideology down through the years customized especially to accommodate this concealed(at least until now) deep seated racism and the veils of that deceit are being revealed as the healthcare fight unfolds.
