As in the song "Lawyers In Love" we have a land, a nation with too many in high places willing to do anything for money neglecting people, honor and principle but a change is coming. No more falling for the lie of living only individualistic and independent lives leaving us divided and conquerable by powerful special interests but a people, a nation collaborating for the greater common good in various groups all across the nation. A land of people working together to help one another with a vision moreover as Jesus would have us be. Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, Kindness....something about another Land. The change is coming

The Administration's Speech On Immigration

So that is the thrust of Bush's speech, more use of the military and high tech orwellian surveillance as the answer to our problems. This administration is not only a failure now, it is a complete disaster for the future freedom of Americans. Cheney/Bush does not have a clue to what they are laying the groundwork for, either that or they just do not care and are willing to risk the curtailment of future freedom for a quick facist fix now . As for immigration itself he only touched on the core of the problem and that is employers hiring illegals in the first place but because Bush is bought off and sold out to corporate money interests he will not go there for long. Of course a suck up cannot get too tough on the one he favors. A little slap on the hand comment about employers then essentially lets them off the hook by saying it is too hard for them to stop it anyway. If the word is out in Mexico that "it is too much problem" for employers to hire the illegal the flow of illegal immigrants will slow. It will never stop but it will decrease. Bush just does not have the fortitude to make it "too much problem" for business. He would rather exercise his weakness for facist policy that further expands military and surveillence of people solutions instead of a real practical solution that gets to the heart of the matter. We have indeed the worst presidency of our lifetime and probably the nation's, so short on wisdom and foresight into the implications and consequences of their actions.
