As in the song "Lawyers In Love" we have a land, a nation with too many in high places willing to do anything for money neglecting people, honor and principle but a change is coming. No more falling for the lie of living only individualistic and independent lives leaving us divided and conquerable by powerful special interests but a people, a nation collaborating for the greater common good in various groups all across the nation. A land of people working together to help one another with a vision moreover as Jesus would have us be. Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, Kindness....something about another Land. The change is coming

No Outrage From Debate Audience?-Racism Showing

The strangest thing about last nights debate was the seemingly quiet and calm manner of the questioners from the audience when we are in the biggest financial disaster since the great depression. Hello? And the audience is not a bit riled? No emotion? In townhall debates during previous elections there were at least some in the audience that were upset about particular issues but last night the questioners were almost sedated in their tone. These people should have been screaming at the top of their lungs or at least acting like they were actually alive in the midst of a crisis but as it was they behaved like they were loaded with tranquilizers.

Every debate where Obama...er.. a.. "that one" comes across as confident and presidential McCain loses. With McCains "that one" remark and general refusal to acknowedge Obama honorably there is this subtle playing to one of our darker character traits as a nation. There is this repressed racism that seems to be coming out like a pot that cannot keep from boiling over and not just little things coming from McCain but out there in the Republican political rallies and around the town as crowds utter remarks like "off with his head".
I hear the slow degrading of the personal defense mechanisms that have repressed outward expression of racism for a number of years now beginning to fail. The expressions have been more subtle or covered by coded language but you hear it beginning to wear thin. A Democrat black man is beating out a white Republican man for president and, oh man, you know some of them cannot stand it. They just cannot stand it and one only knows what it will lead to but anyone voting for more of the same as the last 8 years cannot be very smart anyway. Some you thought you knew you will probably get to know better.
