We are now at a crossroads in history the likes we have not seen for a hundred years and even perhaps not unlike the very beginning of this nation. The world gathers at the G-20 summit to consider solutions to the global economic collapse and undoubtedly the restructuring of the global economic structure with the real possiblity of the beginnings of a one world authority and single global currency. Should it come to that it will be an effort by the old order to preserve themselves that will precipitate what lies ahead of us. The economic catastophe at hand is just that urgent and just that serious a threat to the stewards of the old power structure.
Within 2 years, out of economic necessity, we should have the beginnings of a loosely knit one world government and by the end of 5 years we should have a full fledged one world economic order. If we do not we will probably not have one for many decades to come. All those who have wanted a singular global authority have their moment now and all who have despised the idea are nearly helpless to prevent it and indeed are most susceptible to it's financial promise and in fact many of them precipitated it. Greed over principle has brought them to this crisis and if they have learned nothing, as is usually the case, greed over principle will give them their long feared one world government. Interesting how the fruits of the misguided have befallen themselves with their worst nightmare, a socialist one world order. God did not warn about the power of money for no reason. He meant it, just like he meant his other warnings but the religious right republican status quo power structure wanted to pretend unencumbered full fledged pursuit of money was holy and that anything that would, in their own eyes, hinder the unbridled economic process in America to be unholy. In their hurried hypnotic-like pursuit of money they never took a deep enough breath to step back and take an honest look at themselves but here it is laying in their laps, the very fruits of their misguidance. As it sets there do you suppose they are learning anything now. Great obstacles they are for the religious right, greed mixed with spiritual pride in hand with their perceived necessity to think alike.
Group think must never be underestimated. It is what has brought us to the economic catastrophe we now face. Greed and the lack of regulation are said to be at the core of our present problems and that is true, however the lack of wisdom in understanding man's selfish nature allowed those in charge of our nation to ignore the necessary discipline needed to oversee this selfish nature with even Alan Greenspan bemoaning his failure to see this but what he and the rest of our misguided leadership underestimated was the susceptibility of people to the power of group think when the pursuit of money is at hand. The world of business, of banks and mortage lending companies were all of the same mind along with, most unfortunately, our own previous government. The power of that group think was the power to get people to go along and look the other way when money was to be made. It is as always what the right-wing ideologues have given us - to do anything for a buck and to be in unison in doing it. Finally with a rightwing president and a right wing congress we reaped the fruits of that anything for a buck mentality - a planet most susceptible to a one world socialist corporate state. For the status quo power structure, perserving themselves will be of the highest priority..... and so they will.
