As in the song "Lawyers In Love" we have a land, a nation with too many in high places willing to do anything for money neglecting people, honor and principle but a change is coming. No more falling for the lie of living only individualistic and independent lives leaving us divided and conquerable by powerful special interests but a people, a nation collaborating for the greater common good in various groups all across the nation. A land of people working together to help one another with a vision moreover as Jesus would have us be. Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, Kindness....something about another Land. The change is coming

My Thoughts On John F. Kennedy, The Dream And The Truth

I remember coming back from Christmas and on the school cafeteria wall where President Eisenhower's picture had hung, latest in a long line of old men presidents, there was a picture of a young man. I was 6 years old and didn't really pay attention to the election like most kids don't so i guess i didn't realize that the new president was so young but I remember the sensation that ran through me when I saw his picture. It was like such a great and incredible thing that someone so young could be president and it seemed the gates to freedom and all things possible had in very real terms swung open. Seeing him there in place of the old gave me the confidence that I was a much more viable person being young too. Young could get things done and it changed our psyche more than most realized. I love the memory of that moment but the time JFK was president was such a fantasy kind of thing and his assassination killed that fantasy but not the dream. They said the dream lived on and I wanted to believe it but for all practical purposes it died for us when Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated. That was the one that broke our back and the day the music died leaving Woodstock as a lament of the gathered disillusioned.
Since that time there has never been anyone to really stand and stand up strong for what they believe against the money changers and the established current. No real change comes and nothing is ever really disturbed on a large scale. No feathers are ruffled, nothing brought up at the table, no letting the dreams of the heart manifest themselves in our lives any longer unless, that is, you believe "globalization" is the dream. The real life dreams of the 99% seem to always be quashed by the hidden hands of the status quo but maybe there has been enough of that. Maybe now we need to let the dreams of our heart reach out to the one that is finally going to change it all.
Somewhere and somehow, between the daring changes of the Kennedy's and now, money took our soul and there is only one now that can take it back and that is Jesus Christ.
