--- Individuals that make $14,400 or less a year will be fully covered and fully paid for under medicaid and from that $14,400 up to about $80,000 the subsidy amount that helps pay for your insurance premium will be based on a sliding scale. Decent health insurance for an individual used to cost over $6000 annually but for an individual making $30,000 a year they will now pay less than $2000 of that $30,000 for health insurance.

--- A family of 4 that makes $29,000 a year or less will be fully covered and fully paid for under medicaid and from $29,000 up to $80,000 the family subsidy will also be based on a sliding scale.

This is serious and desperately needed help for millions of people all across this country and most of the family and friends I know, some of them having lived a long time with no insurance at all will now be fully covered. Low-income citizens have lived on the edge of financial ruin and bankruptcy far long enough in this country and it is no fun, been there and done that. It is also estimated that small businesses will save about 4% on their employee expenditure, stimulating employment nationally.
