As in the song "Lawyers In Love" we have a land, a nation with too many in high places willing to do anything for money neglecting people, honor and principle but a change is coming. No more falling for the lie of living only individualistic and independent lives leaving us divided and conquerable by powerful special interests but a people, a nation collaborating for the greater common good in various groups all across the nation. A land of people working together to help one another with a vision moreover as Jesus would have us be. Love, Mercy, Forgiveness, Kindness....something about another Land. The change is coming

The Rightwing Addicted And Their Drug Of Choice

If a drug addict, under the power of his drug, tried to develop an ideology that would perpetuate his drug use as an irresponsible member of society then you would have a doosey of a problem or else something that closely approximates the Republican party, the difference being only the type of drug-money. One definition of insanity is constantly repeating something harmful to yourself but continually expecting a different result. Drug addicts do this time after time and the Republicans, seemingly of no better cognizance or inner constitution, follow suit continually resisting wise regulation and discipline for the financial industry just as they were resisting it before the 2008 economic catastrophe. They resist it for health insurance companies and they resist it for banks. They are locked into this insane behavior replicating it repeatedly because their money drug keeps them in loving rememberence of it forgetting all other reality and their dealers the rich and powerful keep it coming through their runners we call lobbyists. The Republican party then with an unbroken supply line of money-drug becomes a very sick group of politicians under the delusion of their drug, a delusion that allows them to walk in lockstep against the wise counseling about past bad behavior. They see the glaring consequences time and again and yet repeat the same subservient behavior to money time and again. And you thought the kool-aid was bad.
It is sad but even sadder that when trying to get away with all this under cover, as if no one else can tell, they use another name, the "tea party" and just as with the doped out, their appearance is obvious to all except themselves.
