It's A Wonder, America, You Even Remember How To Breath

The long litany of governmental failures from our previous president and his corrupt rightwing controlled congress that brought this nation to it's knees are too long to list and too exasperting and embarrassing to list again and the election is over but there is one thing we would do well to remember should God consider us worthier of the gift of recollection.

God never preached against big government, He created government, not small government, not big government but surely efficient government, healthy government, something about Romans 13:1-7....remember?
And Jesus never wailed against big government, He actually said "give to the government what is theirs and give to God what is his", hardly a treatise to disengenously whine the revolutionary slogan "don't tread on me" that you hear from the Tea Party regarding our government but a little education will show that "don't tread on me" was a reference to England not the American government, remember? England did not have checks and balances or a Bill of Rights for the people but America does and will we ever remember that the size of government is not so much the danger but rather the fear inspired attempts to change or eliminate parts of that Bill of Rights, that occured under the rightwing Republican controlled government, was the real danger.

Lodging under the mentality of fear that allows you to rationalize away the rights of people is the true threat to this nation but, to no avail, as most could have predicted, fear, paranoia,and the idiot wind come blow'in 'round again.

Pray we don't forget again.
